Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about how MyRepsCount works, what it tracks, and what it costs.

Do I need a smartwatch or wearable?

No. MyRepsCount only needs your phone's camera. Just prop your phone where it can see you and the app counts every rep.

How accurate is the rep counter?

The on-device pose model recognizes good-form reps consistently for the supported exercises. Lighting and framing matter more than the phone — most modern iPhones and Androids work well.

Is my video uploaded anywhere?

No. All camera processing happens on your device. The app never uploads, streams, or stores video.

Which exercises are supported?

Over 30 movements across lower body (squats, sumo squats, goblet squats, Bulgarian split squats, step-back lunges, step-ups, Romanian deadlift, single-leg deadlift, bridges, kettlebell swings), push (pushups, bench press, shoulder press, chest flys), pull (pullups, dumbbell row, upright row, pull-downs, band pull-aparts), arms and shoulders (curls, overhead/laying tricep extension, lateral arm raise, goalposts, chest openers), core (sit-ups, reverse crunch, Russian twists), and conditioning (burpees, high knees, jumping jacks). New movements are added regularly.

Is the app free?

Yes. Download and use core features for free. No subscription required for rep counting, custom workouts, or AI workout generation.

Does it work in low light?

Best results come from even, indirect light on your full body. Very dark scenes or strong backlighting will reduce accuracy. Position the camera so your full range of motion stays in frame.

Can I build custom workouts?

Yes. Create your own routines with reps, time-based sets, or interval formats like Tabata and AMRAP. You can also let the AI generator build a workout based on your goals, equipment, and time.

Is there support for trainers?

Yes. Trainers can build programs and track client progress. Visit the trainers area for details.
